Dr. Dale Garland
Lead Pastor
Pastor Dale is a graduate of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (Now Gateway Seminary). He has pastored in California for more than 25 years. He leads, encourages and strengthens Christian men and women as they reach new levels in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Dale and his wife Susan have 4 children.
Santos Gonzalez
Pastor of Spanish Language Ministries
Pastor Santos leads our Spanish Language Ministry with much zeal and a deep love of God.
Miles Hansen
Assistant Pastor/Youth Pastor
Pastor Miles is our passionate youth pastor here at Hope in the Valley. He studied for several years at Gateway Seminary for his Masters in Theology. He understands that the youth have the biggest opportunity for change and is fully dedicated to every student knowing Christ, because this is what Christ impressed upon him when he was young.
Pastor Miles and his wife, Jeana, are new parents of Simon.
Jonathan Beatty
Worship Pastor/Head of Intercultural Engagement
Pastor Jonathan is our new Minister of Music. Jonathan received a bachelor’s degree in applied theology at California Baptist University and has been leading music in churches from quite a young age. Jonathan loves to bring people together across life experience and culture to worship God in unity. He and his wife, Desirée reside in Hemet.
Michael Flynn
Church Planting Pastor and Pastor of Online Ministries
Michael is a resident church planter who launched a new church in Winchester, Ca. earlier this new year. Michael graduated with his Bachelors of Applied Theology from California Baptist University. His heart is to reach those who have never heard or understood the Gospel before. He and his wife, Rachel reside in Winchester.
Michael is married to the love of his life, Rachel, as of 08/12/2017.
David Jite
Assistant Pastor
Holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State Nigeria. He received his Master’s in Divinity studies at Gateway Seminary, Ontario, CA. David Jite has been active in Church ministry for 21years at different capacities in his home country Nigeria before joining us at Hope in the Valley Baptist Church, Hemet since 2017. David is passionate and compassionate about the salvation of souls.
He and his wife Hannah have 3 lovely children.
Melody Hawks
Pastor’s Assistant/Office Manager
Melody is a charter member of HVBC. She began serving on staff as our church secretary in 2008 and moved to the position of Ministerial Assistant in 2012 where she assists Pastor Dale and his Associate Pastors to coordinate and carry out ministry tasks. She is the co-coordinator of Women’s ministries at HVBC and is involved in the drama ministry. Melody and her husband Eugene reside in Hemet, have 3 children and 5 adorable grand-daughters.

Emma Brummett
Ministry Coordinator
Emma and her family have been members at HVBC for more than 20 years. Emma coordinates our Church calendar and oversees that each of the ministry activities occur in harmony. She is also the Leader of the Eyes That ‘C’ Puppet Team. She and her husband Max have 5 grown children and 1 grandchild and they reside in Hemet.
Jennifer Reynolds
Church Secretary
Jennifer Reynolds is our church secretary and has been a member since she was a bus kid. Jennifer is also our Children’s Ministry Director. She is involved in our puppet ministry, Awana, Sunday school teacher, and leads our children’s church. She and her husband, Jason reside in Hemet.
